Last month, we revealed the benefits of making your vacation rental property business into a brand. Now we take a look at How to set up your vacation property rental brand.
So, you’ve agreed to your brand objectives and have a memorable name, and are looking to move ahead with your Bahamas vacation property rental brand. So what happens next?
There are so many places where you can apply elements of your vacation property rental brand to ensure your luxury vacation rental stands out and gets noticed.
Whether marketing online or in the real world, here are some ideas about where and how to set up your branding.
1. Consider your options
Make a list of where you would like your branding to be seen and the steps you need to take to pull it all together. This may be using your logo in practical and creative ways, updating your marketing material, and thinking about your online presence. If your budget is limited, draw up a priority list of options according to which will benefit your business the most and how much each option costs. Even better, consider what you can do for free, such as including your logo and other relevant brand elements on your email signature.
2. Your website
If you have a website for your vacation property rental, then it is vital to add your brand elements there. Use your logo, mission statement, unique selling point, and any other relevant details. Think about your design elements, too. This includes selecting or modifying fonts, colours, and images that compliment your branding. Sans typefaces – those without ‘feet’ on the letters – are friendlier, while serif fonts are more business-like. Make sure your logo is in a prominent place on every page of your website.
3. Social media sites
Similarly, update your social media pages and posts with your new branding, pay attention to the rules of each site and tweak your logos/images/text accordingly. For instance, on Instagram, images are all-important. With Twitter, the length of what you can say is limited and if you want to concentrate on video content, YouTube is great for longer videos of up to 15-minutes long, while Instagram Reels and TikTok used to take videos of up to 60-seconds, but now will accommodate videos up to three minutes.
4. Welcome book
Your welcome book is an important place to ensure your brand values are followed through. Some guests will photograph the book and most will at least flick through it, so it’s important that it looks professional, represents your brand values, and makes a great impression.
5. Branded stationery, gifts, and toiletries
If you give out welcome gifts to your guests, explore the option of getting them branded, or just include a note on branded paper. Another option for branding is on guest toiletries, which are sometimes brought home by guests and seen by others, so are great mini adverts for your vacation rental property.
6. Signs
Update your signs too, with an eye-catching design based around your branding, so everyone knows when they have arrived at your luxury rental.
